Hello Math Teachers! Questions on using the substitution method to solve basic systems of equations using algebraic equations to solve for two variables starting with questions already solved for one variable, and progress to more challenging questions that require solving equations with variables on two sides. Students set up systems of equations needed to solve real-world and mathematical problems leading to two linear equations in two variables.

I use these questions with my 8th grade Pre-Algebra classes. 17 multiple choice questions come in two formats; as a PDF and as an ExamView Bank BNK. Both formats are the same questions.
PDF Format: Can be used as a worksheet for an assignment, class work, homework or even as an assessment like a quiz.
BNK Format: Compatible with ExamView Test maker software. Drag this file into the ExamView test bank folder in your program files. Then you will have these questions available to use with your other test banks to create tests, worksheets, etc. ExamView Banks are great for use with technology like CPS (Classroom Performance System) e-instruction clickers. I use CPS clickers in my math classroom everyday. ExamView Banks are Smart Response, Blackboard, WebCT, Interactive White Board / MimioBoard, SmartBoard and ANGEL compatible. Ideal for Plickers too. This bank was created in ExamView 7.
