Description

Subtracting decimals practice is more engaging with these color by number options.

  • In this activity, students complete 20 decimal subtraction problems, self-check to find the answer on the coloring sheet/section, and then color, in both the print and digital versions!

Check out the Preview and video demo above to see what's included and to see how the Google Slides version works (students will need to know how to use the "Fill color" feature).

In this easy-prep subtracting decimals activity you get:

1) Two print versions:

Version A:

  • Problem sheet with 20 questions
  • Coloring sheet

Version B

  • Problem sheet with 20 questions (SAME QUESTIONS as Version A)
  • Coloring sheet (same pattern, but uses different colors)

2) One Google Slides version:

  • Same problems and same design/colors as print Version B - problems and coloring are all on one slide
  • Students type their answers in the answer box
  • Students use the ‘Fill color’ bucket to color the shapes
  • Questions are not editable (they are in the background) but the shapes and numbers in the pattern ARE movable.
  • Link to Google Slides is after the print items in the PDF download.

3) Keys

4) One coloring page with no numbers, so students can color for fun, create their own color by numbers, or for you to create your own color by number activities for your classes.
