In this bundle you will find 3 worksheets that students can use to independently practice adding multiples of ten.
The first two worksheets can be copied front to back. There are a total of ten problems with ten frames accompanying each. Students should circle the correct number of ten frames needed to properly represent the problem. Students then can “X” out the amount being taken away to find their answer.
The third worksheet practices the same skill but students this time should draw rods to “X” out to find the correct answer. This resources has a total of ten problems.
This bundle aligns with common core standard 1.NBT.C.6. When teaching specific strategies for adding multiples of ten, it is important to have the children also practice the strategy independently. I never found independent practice that suited my needs so finally I made it. Hopefully this resource can be a helpful tool in your classroom.
