Give students practice in mastering concepts of subtracting tens to 100 by focusing on specific skills. These 15 worksheets provide straight-forward and consistent question-types that allow students to build fluency and confidence in developing the strategies taught in Topic 11 of the enVision 2.0 for 1st grade curriculum.
The 5 math vocabulary posters support students’ acquisition of academic language. The bold text throughout the worksheets allow students to see examples of how this language is used and its connections to actual math problems.
Please note that the 5 vocabulary posters are repeated from previous units, as there were no new vocabulary words for topic 11. Therefore, I've included relevant vocabulary posters in case you just purchase this unit.
Many students need repetition to understand mathematical concepts and see the patterns to gain number sense. These practice worksheets are great for homework, independent practice, quick-assessments, and more. They are especially great for students still developing their literacy skills, such as English language learners, because you can model one problem and the students can continue to practice on their own before they are able to read the directions independently. It is great as a substitute for the work in the enVision book, reteaching concepts, or as a reinforcement before tackling the more difficult problems in the enVision units.
An answer key is included.
