Subtraction Fun - Interactive Worksheets for Introducing Subtraction
This packet includes 6 interactive activities to help your students understand the concept of 'taking away' when they first learn about subtraction.
Each activity combines a cut-out 'manipulative' that students use to complete their worksheet. Each manipulative has numbered components that are folded down or back, to model the subtraction process.
For example, one features five frogs sitting on a log. Students will fold the frogs down to act-out the subtraction problems on their worksheet to find the answer.
I have included worksheets and manipulatives for subtraction FROM 5, 6, 7, 8. 9 and 10. Frogs, a snake, the sun, an octopus, pencils and hands are featured. Three 'revision' worksheets are also included.
Color and blackline printables are included.
Make subtraction FUN and MEANINGFUL with these activities!
