This "Subtraction From 5" packet includes six subtraction games in full-color, and in black-and-white.
“I Have-Who Has” is a simple game in which each child takes one or more cards (depending on the size of the group). The first child says, “I have ___. Who has ___?”
The child with the matching card goes next. In my games, we always begin and end with the same card so that any child can start. The six subtraction games in this packet contain six cards each.
Cut out the cards in each deck. Place them in separate envelopes. Label the envelopes. Play with the whole class or in small groups. Keep the full-color versions for classroom centers, and allow children to keep the black-and-white 1-page versions. Note that I did not draw illustrations of subtraction on these games. Encourage children to use manipulatives, fingers, or mental math strategies. Alternatively, there is room to draw dots and cross them out.
*** Note that this is part of my "Subtraction from 5 MegaPack: Games, Songs, and Practice Pages" (112 pages + 5 mp3 songs), also available from my TPT "Miss Jenny's Edutunes" page.
