These fun subtraction math center puzzles will allow your students to practice their subtracting by 6-10 facts. Students will practice subtracting within 20. Each puzzle ranges from 2-10 pieces and will have students match subtraction facts with the correct answer.
There are nine puzzles each for 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. The total product contains 265 problems! To save on ink we have included black and white copies, but you can easily print them on various colors of paper or cardstock.
Preparation and Storage: You will need to print off the desired number of copies. These work well for centers, individual work, or whole group. Cut out the Puzzle Pies. Keep one original intact; it will serve as the answer key.
Directions to Play: Give students the cut-up Puzzle Pies. Tell students they need to make the circle whole by matching the math facts.
Correcting Student Work: To easily check a student’s completed work, keep an original copy of the Puzzle Pies they are working on. This way you can immediately check to see if the numbers are in the correct order or not.
We have also included sheets where students can glue the answers on the paper or use them as a placement guide to set the puzzle pieces on top of. This allows you to differentiate for students who cannot put the Puzzle Pies back together on their own. Please look through all of the pages before you choose which ones to print!
