This is a fun 2 person game that we use when we are teaching line plots. It reinforces basic subtraction facts. Students roll 2 20 sided dice 50 times and make a tally chart with the differences of their rolls. They then make a line plot based on their rolls. After they make their line plot and tally chart they answer questions about their data.
It is important to model this game first as they can miss the point of the activity if they think it is strictly a dice rolling game.
This is the high version of the game, the lower version works with smaller dice and differences.
1st and 2nd might want to skip some of the questions as your standards may not address median and mode.
