Another one of the childhood favorites: Candy Land! Who doesn't remember the endless days spent playing this addicting and fun game. Well, now your kids can play it while reviewing their addition math facts!
Math fact cards are included, and use numbers 0 through 20 (every combination/math fact occurs once). The math facts are easily organized in the product so you can easily differentiate and choose which math facts you want you students to use and focus on while playing the game.
This activity can be used for any students practicing their subtraction math facts:
(6th-8th Grade as well)
Brief Overview of Game: Every time a student goes, they must answer a math fact correctly from the cards in order to pick a "colored square card" and move their piece. Then the game is played the same way as Candy Land. Make in through to the Candy Castle at the end!
What is included?
1.) Candy Land Directions:
*Object of game
*How to play
*How to differentiate
2.) Originally created Candy Land board (you can also use your own board, but I provided one that I made as well!)
3.) 230 different subtraction Math Fact cards
*Uses numbers 0-20
*differences between 0-20
*Each math fact occurs only once
*pages 1-17: highest numbers 0-10
*pages 18-24: highest numbers 11-12
*pages 25-59: highest numbers 13-20
4.) Colored Square Cards
*"Candy Land" Cards with the colored squares - both singles and doubles
*6 "Special" Cards - Gingerbread, Gumdrop, Candy Cane, Peanut, Frosty, Lollipop
Use any combination of math fact cards you would like! Very easy to differentiate for different groups within your class who are working on different numbers with their addition facts.
My advice would be to print on card stock and laminate - it will make the cards/board last a lot longer!
