Product Description
These story problems were created to be used for differentiating with in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade classrooms. Each page has a Subtraction - (result unknown word problem) and plenty of room for the student to solve the problem. A checklist is also included so that students can check and make sure that they have drawn a picture, written an equation, labeled their answer, and circled their answer. There is one page of each of the 15 story problems with the numbers already included. There is also an additional copy with blanks instead of numbers so that the teacher can choose the numbers, differentiating for the level of his/her students. Leaving the numbers blank can also help students comprehend the story problem (word problem) first, and then when they understand what they are looking for, they can add in the numbers.

These story problems could be used as a station in a math workshop, as work for guided groups, as homework or as assessments. They could be used in a kindergarten, first or second grade classroom.
