Get your students up and moving while they practice subtraction skills. I've included 3 differentiated sets so your kids can all work on subtracting at the same time. You can extend your higher kids and challenge the others. Total of 48 different task cards. They will absolutely love this practice!
Here's how it works. Cards need to be placed around the classroom with tape. Students scan one of QR codes, this will give them the problem. The code will say "64 - 25 = _____." Students answer the subtraction problem then will walk around the classroom for the card that has 19 (the answer) on the left hand side. They will scan the next QR code to answer the next problem on the scavenger hunt. All of the levels will have problems that require students to borrow. So much fun!
Included in this document:
Set 1 - subtracting 2 digit numbers
Set 2 - subtracting 3 digit numbers
Set 3 - subtracting 4 digit numbers
Student Response Sheet
Student Work Space
** You will need to make sure you have mobile devices or tablets to use in your classroom to use these cards. I downloaded the app QRReader to scan the cards on the devices, you do not need the internet just the app. There are many free QR Reading apps out there.
