Super Subtracters focuses on subtraction within 20 with a focus on the facts between 11-18. Students who rely on ten fingers to subtract from 10 often struggle with these facts.

This superhero themed packet contains a leveled time test motivation system. There are 8 levels of flash cards and three games types to use with them.

Super Speed and Flying Higher are flash card games.

There are 4 superhero themed versions of Bump to play with the flashcards.

The packet also contains some worksheets, subtraction strategy tips, and answer keys.

Students also design their own hero and track their progress on a leveled chart. There is a Super Subtracter certificate included to give to them when they've learned all their facts.

Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 - 4 = 13 - 3 - 1 = 10 - 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 - 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).
