This scavenger hunt consists of 16 subtraction within 10 problems. The cards can be cut apart and laminated for use as a center. Place the cards around the room and students can search to find the cards. After finding the card, students will record their answer on the included recording sheet. There are six different recording sheets. The first uses the term “answer” and this is where students will record the answer for the corresponding card. Next, students will record one more and one less. There is a variation of this sheet that uses the term “difference” instead of answer. The second recording sheet asks students to record their “answer” and then show ten more and ten less. There is also a version that reads “difference” instead of “answer. The final version asks students to write their “answer” and then write equations to complete the fact family. There is also a variation of this sheet that uses the term “difference” instead of answer.
This is a great way to differentiate your math centers!
I hope you enjoy using this fun activity in your classroom!
