Description

Here's a fun game with a Mexico theme for the children to practice the meaning of some suffixes.

Why use Suffix Practice Game with a Mexico Theme? Brain research teaches us that games help children learn! These bright colors and Mexican images make learning fun! Students are more inclined to play a practice game when it has a fun theme. The Mexico theme is a favorite of most children!

How it works: This is a "Go Fish" game with a Mexican theme... perfect for Cinco de Mayo or any unit on Mexico. It can be played like the classic "Go Fish" game, or can be a simple matching game like "Concentration". This game practices using suffixes to help figure out the meanings of words.

What's included: This resource has 30 pairs of words with suffixes, practicing the meanings of -ful, -ly, -or, and -er. There are extra blank cards available if you want to make your own game to practice another skill, and there are variations and options for game playing to practice skills.
