This simple resource contains two different activities.
The first is three pages (one for each sound of -ed) of fill-in-the-blank sentences for students to complete and illustrate. This activity is intended to reinforce the concept that -ed makes a verb past tense.
The second activity includes three pages of words for -ed games. I personally use these words to play a game of Swat with my students (directions are included), but these cards also work in a game of Memory when they are printed twice. I like to keep the extra cards around to provide an easy and fun opportunity for some extra decoding practice when I have a few extra minutes with my students.
I have used these activities with success in both one-on-one Orton-Gillingham tutoring sessions and in small-group reading intervention classes. I hope you and your students enjoy them, too!
