I created this color sorting worksheet as a way for my students to practice decoding and reading a word, with a suffix -ed, then listening to the sound the -ed makes. If the -ed suffix makes a T sound (/t/), they color the space blue, if the -ed suffix makes a D sound (/d/), they color the space green, and if the -ed suffix makes an ID sound (/id/), then they color the space orange. A great supplement to your spelling program, as well as to your language arts lessons. I plan to use this as a follow-up activity after I teach a minilesson on the -ed suffix. Also check out my -ed suffix cut and paste sort in my store. I also have a pack of 8 suffix sorts (this one included), both cut and paste and color sorts like this one, as well as for sale individually, available in my store. Thanks!
