This spring themed 3 in a row suffix game has 10 different game boards and 30 words to use as calling cards. After the teacher calls a word, students who want to use a suffix from their board with that word must raise their hand and then say the word with the suffix before covering it on the board. If the student uses an incorrect suffix for the word, call on another student. You can allow more than one student to answer with each word, since many of the words can be used with more than one suffix. After students become familiar with spelling the words with the suffixes, they must correctly spell the word with the suffix before they can cover that space on the board.
