Expanded Card Set Without Phoneme Label for Language Goals or General Classroom Use in both color and black & white versions

6 Sorting mats to investigate emotion associated with vocabulary term

Print fricative cards on cardstock, then laminate. Use with Candy Game board from SLP Frenzy or to supplement your current session manipulative/activity. For convenient storage, hole punch decks and store them on binder rings.

Repetitive practice of core set of words will reinforce vocabulary acquisition and promote growth within the language arts curriculum.

Expansion Ideas:

Print off student copies to create individual books to reference during writing activities by hole punching the corner of each card and attach to a ring. Students can color in the speech bubble on the card when they use the word in their writing to encourage vocabulary expansion and use.

Create a “who said” display in which students can post cards as they use words in their writing or discover words while reading.
Match the cards to a corresponding sentence that reflects its emotion. Replace “said” when editing writing to use another term.

Classroom teachers can utilize card decks or compile sound card dictionaries which support speech/language target goals within their classroom while concurrently expanding vocabulary and phonemic awareness skills of all students

Use additional cards not labeled with specific phonemes to target language goals in mixed therapy groups.
