Product Description
Ready for something better when it comes to small groups, assessment, RTI, intervention, or gifted enrichment? These worksheets or assessments focus on the interior angles of triangles. Students explain geometric markings and symbols for triangles, use geometric markings and angle measures to find the measure of missing angles, and find the measure of missing angles in more complex figures.

This set of geometry assessments/worksheets were designed to extend the geometry standards {4.G.1 and 4.G.2} for 4th and 5th grade students. Students benefit from the opportunity to apply of the geometry vocabulary and concepts they have learned about triangles on a higher level. Aligns with 7th grade standard 7.G.B.5 and 8th grade standard 8.G.5.

Assessments are designed with three levels of mastery: "Building Blocks," "Goals," and "Stretching Beyond" tiered question. In addition, you get 3 versions of each so that you have the resources you need to pre-assess, post-assess, assign independent practice, and MORE with different question sets!

Why should you level your math practice and assessments?

With leveled math assessments, you can challenge your gifted students and plan for intervention with your growing learners. You have everything you need here for pre-assessment, post assessment, quiz, test, homework, review, worksheets for independent practice, and end of year testing preparation. These assessments are perfect for supporting a growth mindset classroom climate.

I whole-heartedly believe in the ability of these assessments to help teachers identify students’ strengths and weaknesses in math, to diagnose areas to target, and to help teachers plan for differentiated math instruction (whether you use a math workshop model, small group teaching, have to incorporate a math textbook, or plan differentiated stations for your students).

If you want to use my leveled assessments as a grade level, be sure to purchase multiple licenses at a reduced cost of 50% per license per teacher.

MORE ABOUT MY LEVELED ASSESSMENTS

What do the levels mean?

Building Blocks (••): pre-requisite skills and understandings that students need to have in order to meet grade-level expectations (a.k.a. GOALS •••). Building blocks may include 2nd and 3rd grade standards and are built from a lower form of the 4th grade standard.

Goals (•••): the “on grade level” expectations based directly on the 4th grade standards. You may also find some “Goal” questions that are based directly on the 3rd grade standards, but taken to the next level because it is an understanding that 4th graders need in order to be proficient with the focus concept.

Stretching Beyond (••••): “above grade level” expectations. The Stretching Beyond level provides you with assessment options to stretch and challenge students who easily meet grade-level expectations.
