Want a fun experiment to learn about probability? Give each group of students two dice. Have them take turns rolling the dice and calculating the sum. Then, have them record the sum by shading in the next box for that sum. The first sum to occur ten times wins!
You can pick up the competitiveness by letting students "pick a sum" just like a race horse (this is based off an old horse racing game) and cheering on their sum to the finish line.
