After reading information from the placards provided on Sumerian society, students will compare the perspectives of different citizens of Sumer from the scribes to the kings and the farmers to the soldiers.
This activity can be done as a homework assignment or can be used as a student response group activity. Wrap-up questions can also be used as discussion starters to help the class further investigate the social structure of the early civilization.
