Practice teaching your 3rd grade, 4th grade and 5th graders to write a summary using the folding worksheet that is different than writing on plain paper.
This activity makes writing a summary fun. Print the trifold and copy front to back. Student's will fold the paper at the dividing line to create the trifold. Have student's read the story, and identify the 5 major parts.Student's can flip the over to use to write a 4-5 sentence summary.
If the teacher does not want to use the folding activity, there are worksheets included for student's to use with the same stories. The student will continue to use the same strategy.
