Newly Updated August 2017!

Struggling with a routine to teach objective summarizing? Here is an anchor worksheet and rubric set that I on a regular basis with my students. This can be used with any non-fiction/informational text. I choose to use the wide variety of National Geographic magazines that we have in our class in addition to online sites such as Newsela and other current event sites. Students love to have choice and I love to have a clear procedure and rubric to show growth and give descriptive feedback!
