Summary Cootie Catcher
A fun way to learn about summaries!
↝Teaching summaries made easy! *Just print and go.
Students can cut it out and answer the questions. How surprised will they be when they write their summary on their cootie catcher?
Or they can use it to remember all the parts in a summary. It is an active graphic organizer! They could write their answers on another piece of paper and then turn them into a paragraph. Or just have them write the answers on the cootie catcher itself.
I use it as a center during literacy block. They read a book and then create a cootie catcher telling me the character, setting, events, problem, solution, and theme.
My students love this! I also let them color it.
