Music Composition: Summer Rhythm Composition - Are you looking for ways to include more composition and notation opportunities for your students in your lesson? This two - day lesson will help your students feel successful in their ability to compose music while practicing notating and composing with different rhythms. #rainydaymusic
This set includes:
1) A two - day lesson plan with procedures for incorporating this Summer composition that includes practice reading, notating, composing, peer teaching, and performing either on classroom non-pitched percussion instruments or body percussion.
2) Composition pages for the following concepts
- Ta and titi
- Ta rest
- Half note
These pages may be used with any system for reading rhythms
3) Rubrics (printed 4 to a page)
- Composition rubric
- Performance rubric
- Student self-evaluation
This lesson could easily be left with a sub if you need to be out of the classroom. I would just leave their performance of their compositions for when you return.
