Character Summer Olympics: A timely activity to use with any piece of reading literature or for any historical figure.
Students will analyze character traits and decide which summer sporting event each character would excel in. Critical and creative thinking at its best. Students will practice both writing and reading skills; can also be used as a group/collaborative activity. Differentiated and enrichment activities are included. The Olympic Games offer the perfect opportunity to integrate popular culture and current events into our curriculum for fun, engaging lessons for our students.
