Summer Literacy Camp Handbook for K-3+

Summer is a wonderful time of year for so many reasons!

Continuing to engage your children throughout the Summer with reading & writing may be challenging - School's Out!!!! No School Stuff!!!

I have created LOADS of fun Literacy Activities (over 100) for your growing children, so they don't lose all those skills you worked so hard to keep sharp. I've, also, included LOTS of Ideas & Activity Lists to inspire family fun with hands-on learning (their favorite).

Many of these activities will help prepare your child for the coming school year, so Literacy Skills will continue to grow & develop. They address the following expectations:

• Reading: vocabulary & comprehension of story elements
• Informational Text Features
• Writing: letters, journals, narratives, informatives & how-tos
• Math, Science, Geography & Social Studies
• Life Skills of pre-planning, cooking, organizing
