These activities are perfect if you have a magnet center in your classroom. I have an oil drip pan on a wall where my students can complete magnetic activities.

This pack includes 4 different activities with a Summer theme to use in your magnet center. All activities are included in a B and W version as well if you are looking to save on ink. This pack would be great to use anytime May through August!

1.Lemonade Order Counting:
Use magnetic tape to put up the numbers or number words on your magnet board.
Place magnets on the back of each lemonade glass.
Print out the number of spinners you want at the center.
Students spin the spinner to get a number. (with paper clip and a pencil to make the spinner.
Next, they find a glass with that number of ice cubes and place it on the board under the right number.
Use the B&W version and color in yourself to save on color ink.

2.Color Sorting Watermelon:
Use magnetic tape to put up the color words on your magnet board (6 different colors included)
Place magnets on the back of each watermelon slice and place in a container nearby.
Students look at the color of each watermelon slice and place them under the correct color word.
Use the B&W version and color in yourself to save on color ink.

3.Letter Sorting Suns:
Use magnetic tape to put the suns with letters on your magnet board (5 suns, 5 letters)
Place magnets on the back of each of the circles with letters in them and place in a container nearby.
Students sort the letters to the correct sun.
Use the B&W version and color in yourself to save on color ink.

4.Make a Smores Direction Following:
Place magnetic tape on the back of the direction strip. Use as many as you’d like for your center.
Place magnetic tape on the back of each smores making piece, again, printing as many pieces as you’d like for your center, and place in a container nearby
Students follow directions to make their smores.
Use the B & W version and color in yourself to save on color ink!
