This summer math packet will help rising 6th grade students review the 5th grade Common Core Standards for Math.
Avoid the summer slide this year! Summer math packets are a great way to help students remember all the skills they worked so hard to accomplish during the school year!
Please Note: This product has 2 files. One with the answers (for teachers) and a second file without the answers (for students). Some teachers like to email summer packets to parents in case students misplace their packet over the summer.
There are 2 parts of this Summer Math Packet:
– 52 Multiple Choice questions on ALL the common core topics for 5th grade math. Each page represents 1 of 10 weeks. A student recording sheet and answer keys are provided for easy grading.
– 10 different summer themed worksheets for students to practice basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, long division, and fractions. Each page represents 1 of 10 weeks. Answer keys are provided for easy grading.
I suggest having students do one page of multiple choice questions and one page of basic math skills for each of the 10 weeks.
This summer math packet is perfect for teachers to give to students before the summer or for parents to give their children over the summer months. It’s also great for tutors and homeschooling families too!
If you are a 6th grade math teacher, this would also be a great pre-test for your students at the beginning of the year to see how much information they retained over the summer break.
