This product includes both a smores-themed nonsense word game as well as an assessment tool. Students can play their way to nonsense word fluency while also giving teachers a resource to track student progress towards their nonsense word goals!

To prepare, print the game boards and card on cardstock and laminate if desired. Cut the smores pieces apart for students to collect as they go around the board. Cut apart the letter cards, and place in a pile with the cards face down. Add a die and manipulatives to use as game pieces (seasonal mini erasers are perfect for this), and your students are ready to play!

To play: Each student will receive one player board, and place their game piece on the start space. The first student will roll, move their piece the amount shown on the die, and choose the card on top of the pile. If they read correctly, they can choose a smores piece to place on their player board. Players who collect all ten pieces win the game!

Note: Students may go around the board as many times as necessary to collect their ten smores pieces.
