Summer Practice Task Cards - Digital Resource for Google Slides – with these end of the school year task cards, students review reading, writing, and vocabulary skills during the last weeks of school or as a summer project. Both the digital resource and a PDF version are included in this file.

The task card set includes five each on six summer topics:

1. At the Beach

2. Life on the Pond

3. Low-Tech Fun

4. The Ball Game

5. Picnic Time

6. Vacation

With this summer set, each group of five cards includes each of the following:

Reading Skills

Writing Practice

Vocabulary

Fun Puzzles

Follow-up Activity

The cards are designed for middle school or upper elementary students, and would work well for end-of-year activities or to make packets for students to take home for summer practice. They are large cards, two cards per page, with more content per card than many smaller cards. Some of the cards have a longer activity such as writing an essay or making a brochure, others have a short, fun assignment, such as solving riddles, for a nice break.

Included with this set is checklist, with a fun coloring image, for students to keep track of which cards they have completed.

This resource includes BOTH the digital slides with one card per slide and a PDF version with two cards per page for printing. The answer key will be found in the PDF.

This Google Slides version of the task cards is ready for student use with text boxes or movable pieces already in place for student responses.
