Summer Readers! Look Who We Caught Reading! Bulletin Board! K-5
Make a splash when you come back to school next year with this awesome bulletin board! “Look Who We Caught Reading!” This product is designed to be school-wide and literacy coaches, reading specialists, librarians can take the initiative by creating a bulletin board showcasing what students and staff have been reading during the summer months! Included in the product is an editable letter that you can send home with students explaining this project. You can add your school’s signature or create your own with the template included. Also, included are four different forms that you can decide which is right for your school. You can print them off and attach one form to the parent letter or you can use the editable ones (included) that students can type right into. I would suggest posting that on your school’s website so that kids can type into the form and insert a picture. The alternative is to have kids write and adhere a photo of themselves reading. I always encourage people to take pictures of themselves reading on vacation or in fun spots. In their description, they write where they are and what they are reading and a brief description of the book. Kids then return them during the first week of school. I always have staff participate as it is a good way for kids to read about the adults in the school. It is definitely one of my favorite projects!
**Note that only the parent letter is in both English & Spanish and both are editable to add a signature and school name.
