Description

Kindergarten teachers, want to keep your students reading this summer? This product is a summer reading challenge for kindergarten students going to first grade. The reading log allows students to choose books based on their preferences and what is available at their local library, with fun challenges like "read a book barefoot."

On the back of the reading log, you'll copy the suggested reading list. The reading list includes popular books at the grade-appropriate reading level together with read-alouds. Many of the books are series, so that students can continue reading about a favorite character they meet during the summer. Many families appreciate guidance when choosing books to read.

There is space to write down the title for each book that the student reads. And there is a line at the bottom for parent signature. You can provide a treat to your students next fall when they return with their completed challenge.

Summer reading is sooooo important to help our students be successful. I hope this challenge will help your kindergarten students to enjoy their summer reading!
