Keeping children reading over the summer is a goal of most teachers. If you create a time for students to share favorite books, you can take advantage of this Summer Reading List for your students to write down books they’re interested in trying once school is out.
This week, during our informal book sharing time, students will share a book they enjoyed reading this year. I'm encouraging them to think about books that might not be as well known, ones that students will enjoy but might not know as much about.
Students will be able to jot down book titles and authors, and with a help from the public library and this list, they should have a head start to a summer of good books!
