I use this online activity toward the end of the school year to give the students a chance to explore a variety of books they might want to read over the summer. My students are not required to do summer reading, but I always hope this activity will encourage them to choose some books they might like. I use my reading club blog (which is publicly accessible) as the "hub" for the websites. The back page of the activity has space for the students to write down six potential titles and authors.
The documents within the zip file are all in pdf format.
All of the items I share on TPT are ones I actually use in my middle school classroom. Most have been revised multiple times based on "test runs" with my students. I work hard to make information accessible to students in a fun and simple way while still challenging students to meet and exceed their abilities. Most of my assignments can be used with all ability levels; differentiation comes in my expectations of what individual students or groups can achieve. Many of my activities can be used with individual students or cooperative groups.
Thanks for looking at Middle School Reading Room!
