Send your students home this summer with their very own Summer Reading Passport! This booklet-style passport encourages students to continue reading for pleasure over summer vacation by suggesting a new reading theme each week. There are twelve themes in all, ranging from "Read a book set in a different country," to "Read a comic book or graphic novel," to give your students both guidance and flexibility in choosing their own books. In addition, there is a book log page where students can keep track of the titles they read for each week.
Please note: the PDF file displays the weeks out of order so that it will print in the correct order for assembly. After printing, cut each page in half (it will print two identical passport spread pages per sheet), layer the booklet pages over each other in the correct order (with the “Summer is here” and Week 12 page on the bottom and the Week 5 and Week 6 page on the top), fold in half, and staple in the middle. And, voila! Passport to summer reading fun!
