The Summer Reading Passport is designed to encourage students to read over the summer in a casual, fun, non-homework-y way. Students will take home a passport and 48 reading challenge badges. When they earn a badge, they can glue it onto their passport. Students and parents can also create personalized challenges as the summer unfolds.
Purchasing this school-wide license gives you the right to use this activity for the entire school. Great for media specialists or reading coaches to challenge students to read over the summer. If you would like a single license for a one classroom use, click here:

Challenges are divided into six different categories:
*“Who” badges challenge students to read with family members, friends, pets, and even stuffed animals.
*“What” badges challenge students to read a variety of reading materials, including magazines, recipes, and poems.
*“When” badges challenge students to read at various times such as morning, afternoon, or night.
*“Where” badges challenge students to read in different places like the library, under a tree, or at the beach.
*“Why” badges challenge students to read for several reasons including to learn about someone or something.
*“How” badges challenge students to read in many ways such as over the phone or into a microphone.
Hopefully this will encourage students to read and help prevent the inevitable summer reading loss!
