Just like my Summer Reading Quilt, each student can create his or her own pennant to show what they learned and enjoyed about their summer reading book. This works great for classes who read the same book, or all read different books!
In the center circle, students write the title of the book they read. On the three outside sections, students can draw pictures, include quotes, or anything else that represents aspects of the book that they liked or that stood out to them.
This is a fun way to get students thinking about their summer reading assignment without a formal test.
For the finished project, students can cut out the pennant and, by using a single hole punch on the two top corners, they can string them together to be hung as a banner around the classroom.
