This product features 4 forms that your students can use when creating reading plans for the summer. The forms can be put in a folder or journal so the students can reflect on their goals and plans.
Page 1: Summer Reading Spots
This page has students draw/label 6 places they would like to read this summer. There are some really cute anchor charts on pinterest that can aid this discussion. My class came up with some really cute ideas when we completed this activity. (ie. floating in my pool, under my bed, at the beach, etc.)
Page 2: Places to Get Books
This is a great whole group activity for thinking about where we can get books. There are 4 spots for students to draw/label.
Page 3: Reading Partners
This page has 5 spots for students to draw and label the people they would like to read with. My students also thought of pets, stuffed animals, etc...so glad they thought beyond actual people.
Page 4: Summer Book List
There are 7 lines for students to write down the books they are interested in reading this summer.
I am using these forms in my classroom this year as part of my students "Summer Folder." Inside the folder will be these forms along with a few books on each students level from Reading A-Z. I am also having my students decorate the folders. (In hopes they will get excited about them and actually use them over the summer!)
Thanks for looking! =)
