Summer Writing | Summer Review | Summer Activities | End of the Year
Avoid the summer slide with meaningful reading and writing activities. This freebie is part of my complete Summer Review Packet, which contains eight week’s worth of reading, writing, and maker materials to keep students’ skills sharp over the summer. Included in this resource are a week’s worth of summer writing activities that are engaging and encourage students to think! NO PREP for you! Simply copy and send home with students at the end of the year. The activities also work well as an engaging filler during those last hectic days of the year.
Each day of writing includes a short reading, graphic organizer for collecting ideas, and space for writing a themed piece. Two prompts include places for drawing visuals to go along with students’ writing.
