These set of activities were created to provide students with multiple, engaging, opportunities to help maintain many Kindergarten and !st Grade standards and help students prepare for the upcoming year and try to avoid the Summer “Slide”. All activities are in Spanish and are aligned to Common Core Learning Standards.
Number Sequence Puzzles
: Color, cut and glue. Four different sequences (by 1, by2s, by 5s and by 10s).
Number Matching Correspondence
: Cut and Glue the three piece puzzles and arrange them to match the digit, number word and picture.
Count and Compare
: Circle the group that has more or less.
: Draw pictures to complete the ten frame and write a number sentence.
: Cut and glue (above, under, next to, behind, in front of).
Long & Short
: Color the longest or shortest object in a group.
: Cut the inch figure to help measure the given objects.
Classifying 2D Shapes
: Cut, sort and glue 2D objects
Classifying 3D Shapes
: Cut, sort and glue 3D objects
Time to the hour and half-hour
: Cut the digital clocks and glue them to match the analog clocks.
Tens and Ones
: Write how many tens and ones.
Tens and ones
: Draw how many tens and ones there are in a given number.
: (ABC, AABB, ABB, AAB, AB)
Sílabas Iniciales (Syllables)
: Cut and Glue the objects according to their initial syllable sound.
Secret Words Practice
: Write the initial sound of each picture to decode the secret words. Draw a picture to match the word.
Scramble Words Practice (How many syllables)
: Use the scramble letters to write the correct word. Count how many syllables are in the word.
: Color two words that are synonyms.
: Color two words that are opposites.
: Color the words that rhyme in a group.
Uppercase and Lowercase letter practice
: Cut and glue the shovel and pail to match the correct uppercase letter with the lowercase letter.
: person, animal, thing and place.
: Using transitional words (Primero, Luego, Después, Finalmente) students write the steps they must follow to hide a treasure in the sand using the above words. Then draw a picture to match their writing.
All activities are great for visual, tactile and kinesthetic learners.
