Summer break can mean fun, play, but also a lot of unstructured time for some of our students. Here is a great lesson packet reviewing bike safety, stranger safety, and water safety.
*1 PowerPoint reviewing summer safety tips
*12 activity pages for students to show their safety knowledge. Activity pages include:
-What it Looks Like drawing pages (grades 2-4): Students draw representations of what it looks like to be bike, stranger, and water safe.
-Safe Kid! Pages (grades pk-1): Students cut out correct pictures representing bike, stranger, and water safety. Then, they glue them on the Safe Kid! Page. Make sure to go through the pictures with them in case they have trouble identifying what they are.
Is it Safe? Scenario sheet and cards(k-5): Cut out the cards on page 12, have students read the scenarios, and sort whether they are safe or unsafe. For younger grade, you can read the cards out loud and have students do “Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down” if they are safe.
