Looking for a fun outdoor activity? Going on a scavenger hunt is a great way to spend time with classmates while observing the sights of summer and learning about the great outdoors! This scavenger hunt could provide a wealth of opportunities for active fun and it will satisfy the students' natural urge to explore and learn about the world in which they live. This activity is also great for word recognition and can open the door to discussions about nature, how seasons change, summer sports and activities, safety in and near water, etc.
There are three sets of pictures each with four pages: a list of items to find perhaps on a walk through the neighbourhood, things at a beach, and things to find in a certain category, i.e. something that is soft, something that is curly, etc.. For the last set of items, the children can draw the items or write the words of the things they find.
I have left almost all of the clip art in colour but it can be printed in black and white by hitting "print", "colour" and selecting either "black and white" or "gray scale".
Due to the digital nature of this product, no refunds will be given.
I hope that your students will find this package both educational and entertaining!
