Description

This summer bridge activity for secondary students re-enforces history, geography, and ELA skills. It also encourages community involvement. Don’t waste the summer—make your secondary students tourists in their hometown.

They will visit attractions that only a tourist would think to visit, and reflect on them with journal entries. This is a free template for their journal. Simply print the pages out (one copy for each of your destinations), place the pages in a binder, and have your begrudging secondary students use it to reflect upon each of their tourist visits.

At the end of the summer, they will have a scrapbook cataloguing their experiences!
