If you are looking for a fun review game to reinforce do (with so, mi and la) or just want (or need) a fun, quick, no-prep summer-themed activity this resource will be immensely popular with your young students! It comes with four game versions (10 questions each) in PDF form for your students to listen to and identify the so/mi/la patterns they hear. *The sound files (vibraphone playing each melodic pattern) are embedded into the slides. You could even have your students sing or play the patterns before they choose the correct pattern. If the wrong answer is chosen, students are taken back to listen and try again. A correct choice advances them to the next pattern.
The four versions include: 1 with stick notation, 1 with note heads, 1 on staff in F, and 1 on staff in G. You can use this as an individual assessment, have students work in groups or even use the activity as a workstation.
For those of you who use a Mac, make sure to open the file in Adobe Reader so the hyperlinks, sound files and animations will work.
