If you're looking for an easy, low prep Summer themed Writing Center to keep your students engaged and that is easily differentiated, here it is! Students will use the Summer vocabulary cards to make lists, label pictures, write sentences, and write stories.

This Writing Center is also available in my Year-Long Writing Center Bundle at a discounted price!

Included Activities:

*Vocabulary Cards (color & blackline)

*“Make a List” sheets (one for summer & one for any theme, full & half sheet)

*”Label the Pictures” Recording Sheet

*Wipe-off Word Strips (color & blackline)

*Sentence Starter Strips and “Write a Sentence” Recording Sheets (Use the sentence starter strips to write sentences using sight words your students have been learning. Students will choose a vocabulary word to complete the sentence, and then write the whole sentence on the recording sheet.)

*”Write a Story” Sheets (Choose from story writing pages with handwriting lines or single lines. Students can draw their own pictures on the blank story sheets, or add a background and other details to the sheets with clipart before writing their story.)

*You can use all of the activities, or choose a few. It's up to you!

I like to place my vocabulary cards in a pocket chart so they are clearly displayed and can be removed by students if they need a closer look.
