This is a rather nifty 100+ page differentiated novel study for Summer of the Sea Serpent. It is full of book-specific comprehension questions, activities, a printable mini-myth book, and vocabulary materials.
This unit contains:
Chapter review pages: I try to include *at least* 1 inference and higher order thinking question along with recall information and mental image/description prompts. There are two sets of differentiated length options for these pages: One set has students answer questions for each chapter, and the second has students answer fewer questions and combines chapters to make for a shorter unit of study.
Vocabulary materials: Mini-dictionary booklet, vocabulary recording pages (both chapter-specific and entire book-specific options included), and an optional vocabulary center with materials both in full color and ink friendly options.
Printable, illustrated sequencing pages themed for the specific book events. There are two differentiated options: One sequencing 4 events and one sequencing 3 events.
Separate "Jack's Notebook" activity pages for each Guidebook entry.
Mini-myth printable booklet for students to take home. There is also a suggested use page on how to best make use of this resource.
Each Chapter Review and Book Review Page has a duplicated "Answers" page with suggested answers typed in. Please note that I do not provide answers for open ended questions such as: subjective questions, questions that ask students to think, or require students to describe or draw.
BONUS: It also contains my Character and Story Analysis for ANY Magic Treehouse Book
I have listed here. These are generic character study and analysis pages, comparison activities, and universal chapter questions. It's a *wonderful* resource.
This Magic Tree House novel was written by Mary Pope Osborne.
