I created this cute activity to help my kiddos independently practice the concept of counting money! There are so many fun things you can do with a money unit, in terms of hands-on; but I was in need of a variety of seat work and morning work, etc. This packet focuses on counting money under $1. It also includes counting money with quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. This packet has 5 worksheets (4 of which you can see in this listing). Please do note: this packet is exactly the same as my Unicorn version...the only difference is the clipart/theme. If you have purchased this other version, please consider before purchasing this one! Thanks!
Here is what I have included:
Page 1: this worksheet has listed specific money amounts, and the kiddos color the coins they need to make that amount.
Page 2: this worksheet has specific groups of coins in a box, and the kiddos must count the coins, and simply write their answers in.
Page 3: this worksheet has the kiddos match groups of coins to a specific priced items (so matching coins to their amounts).
Page 4: this worksheet has the kiddos use a spinner that lists specific money amounts, and then has the students find the matching coins by coloring the piece on the spinner and the box of coins the same color.
Page 5: this mimics page 2, in that the kiddos must count groups of coins and write in the amount; but it also incorporates comparing money; in terms of deciding which kiddo has more.
