Summertime Fun Emergent Reader
Before you let your kids out for the summer, you may want to give them this handy dandy summer emergent reader. I am sure parents all over will thank you for it!
The theme is to give ideas on summertime activities that are fun and inexpensive.
The eleven headliner sentences are the following:
1. Are you looking for some fun summer activities?
2. Light up a fire.
3. Catch some bugs!
4. Visit your local fire station.
5. Chalk it up!
6. Play firefly tag.
7. Share the yard work.
8. Have a stargazing party.
9. Make your own rain.
10. Go backyard camping.
There is a detailed paragraph on each page detailing how to engage in the activity. Have a teacher or parent read it out loud.
The pages are in portrait format and measure 8.5 x 11. Students will color, cut and staple the book together.
