This game includes 25 playing boards with 50 different summer themed pictures placed sporadically on the boards. There are also 50 different clue cards that will to be read aloud by the teacher. I recommend that you print the playing boards in color and on cardstock to give a more authentic feel of a board game. Also, if you plan on using these again then I would definitely laminate them as well. After printing and laminating the boards, all you need is some type of counter for the students to use on their boards. Now you are ready to play.
The game PINGO is a combination of Bingo and the popular game Who Has … I Have. The teacher will pull a clue card and read it aloud to the students without showing the picture on the card. The clue cards will be read in the format of Who Has…. The students will look on their game boards to see if they have the picture that goes along with the clue read by the teacher. The clue cards should be put aside and used to check the students as they get PINGO. The students’ boards will have the phrase “I have… “ and a picture. If the students have the proper picture, they will cover the box with a counter or other type of game piece. The game continues until a student has 5 in row vertically, horizontally or diagonally. The students will need to use their listening skills as well as context clues to find the answers and pictures for each clue.
This is my summertime version and would be great for the end of the year (after testing), summer school programs and day camps. Please check out the other versions of the game as they become available. Next, I will begin developing my back to school version. Please leave feedback and let me know what your students think of the game. Also, please let me know of any mistakes you find and I will correct them and repost a corrected version. Thank you for your purchase.
